East Carbon City Remembers September 11
Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001, but the lives lost, the sacrifices made and the courage shown on that day remain in our hearts.
This Friday, East Carbon City joins communities across our nation in remembering the nearly 3,000 lives lost and honoring the first responders, service members and everyday citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of tragedy.
September 11 is also recognized as Patriot Day and a National Day of Service and Remembrance,

a reminder not only to remember those we lost, but to carry forward the spirit of unity and service that brought Americans together in the days that followed.
As a community, we honor their memory by continuing to look out for our neighbors, supporting those who serve and remembering that even in the most difficult moments, there is strength in standing together.
East Carbon City will never forget.
May we remember the fallen, honor the heroes and continue to teach future generations why September 11 will always hold an important place in our nation’s history.
